Who Even is River?
River Eno is managing copy editor at, and co-owner of, Speculation Publications. She writes (urban-fantasy) or dark-erotic fantasy novels—The Anastasia Evolution Series—and horror-adjacent short stories—usually with a bend toward paganism or pagan archetypes. Her short work has been published in the Collections of Utter Speculation anthologies, the Winter Lore anthologies and pagan online periodicals.
Residing on the east coast with rescue dogs, old rescued turtles and family; River is vegan, a practicing solitary witch, and an herbalism enthusiast with polyglottal aspirations.
In 2022, LCW Allingham, Susan Tulio and River started, Speculation Publications. A women-owned indie press amplifying the voices of new authors, artists, editors and advocates, as well as established established voices. Susan has since retired, however remains Spec Pub's eagle-eyed proofreader and hype woman extraordinaire.
On the Spec Pub website you'll find "Calls for Submissions," author bios from all of Spec Pub's anthologies, along with news and updates on where we'll be and when.
