Hello everyone, Good Thor's Day!! I've been so busy lately with hearth and family matters, and also trying to figure out how to get the word out about my book. It's not easy, not that I expected it to be. There are so many wonderfully creative people in the world it seems near impossible to squeeze my experimental, quasi imaginative foot in the door. But I will try.
Today is a work day, editing pages for the next book. But I came across this piece of a quote from Joss Whedon laying in a heap of papers, and wanted to share it.
"I write to give myself strength. I write to be the characters that I am not. I write to explore all the things I'm afraid of."
I think that's sums up why I write as well. There was another quote I loved. I think it was by UF writer Laurell K Hamilton - at least that's where I heard it - and I think it went like this:
"I write because it's easier to write than it is not to write."
Both sentiments are kind of profound. Or at least they affected me profoundly.
