Hello fellow citizens and Happy Freyja's Day!
Here we are already into August, Lughnasadh come and gone, and the summer nearly over. I couldn't be happier. I mean that literally, the darkness makes me relax and feel quite happy. The darker the better. I write so much more in the dark. But I do love to grow my own food and I recognize the sun's importance. I just wish he didn't have to be so sunny! :)
The summer days are long, but they go by so quickly. The pace of the summer is something I find difficult to keep up with. Partially because I'm always trying to fit writing into my schedule. It's a stupid thing to do. I should just take July or August off and not worry about writing anything until September when young people are back to college and the house settles down. But it's difficult because though I may say I'm taking time off from writing, my mind never stops working. And so all this "stuff" builds up in my head and sometimes I feel like I'm about to scream. AGGGGGGGG!!!!!
Phewf, that felt better. (she smooths her skirt and runs her hand over her head to capture rogue hairs trying to escape the madness.)
It's set to be an outstanding weekend, weather wise. A great opportunity to go to the beach or to a pool, or a friend's pool, and read an Indie book by an unknown author. Psst ... that's me!
While I was looking for August meme's I came across several Philosorapture memes, and this one (at the bottom) struck me and made me smile, and then I thought about it, and I felt kinda bad. :-)
